WAF attended the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Annual Head of Classification Meeting in Toronto, Canada during VISTA meeting in Toronto, Canada, end of September 2017.
The meeting was a great opportunity for the International Federations and National Olympic Committees to meet the IPC Management at the same table, to cooperate in workgroups, to present the challenges and solutions in the para-sports, to discuss about Classification procedures, classification code compliance for the sport recognition, Paralympic Games sports application criteria and steps to be taken.
For our sport this meeting represented a real platform for developing para-armwrestling sport, to prepare the classification code compliance application, sport recognition at Paralympic level and application procedures for the 2024 Paralympic Games.
WAF was represented by the President Mr. Assen Hadjitodorov, the General Secretary Mr. Mircea Simionescu Simicel and the Head of Para-Armwrestling Committee and Head of Classification Panel Mrs. Lyudmila Mazhdrakova.
