WAF PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
The World Armwrestling Federation (WAF), reports that the sample of following athletes has returned an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) in connection with the 2022 World Armwrestling & Para-Armwrestling Championships and out-of-competition testing for 2022.
As a consequence, the following athletes are provisionally suspended in view of a potential anti-doping rule violation:
WAF 2022:
- Li Alexendr – Kyrgyzstan
- Batista Cleiton – Brazil
- Iviyazi Kudatullo – Uzbekistan
- Duan Mohd – Malaysia
- Balsamello Rodolfo – Argentina
- Akil Mehmet – Turkiye
- Kendirci Mahmut – Turkiye
Third party Anti Doping Organizations (ADOs) provisional suspended athletes for Armwrestling in 2022:
French NADO:
- Anthony HOPE – USA
- Marek MAJAK – Poland
- Gogita KHIMSHIASHVILI – Georgia
Ukraine NADO:
- Maryna Shulika – Ukraine
Australian NADO:
- Barker Joshua – Australia
- Lachlan Carpenter – Australia
In any case where it is determined that the athlete did not commit an anti-doping rule violation, the relevant decision will also be published.
The WAF will not make any further comments on the case until it is closed.
