“On the 4th of October 2016, Blagoevgrad – Bulgaria became the international Armwrestling capital for 6 days.

The 38th World Armwrestling Championship and the 19th World Para-Armwrestling Championship counts more than 52 participating countries from all continents and more than 1500 participants, athletes, officials and fans which will for sure spark the city life.
Juniors, youth, seniors, masters and persons with disabilities will fight hard to obtain the gold medals in all 6 competition days, from 4th to 9th October 2016.
The World Championship is organized by the World Armwrestling Federation and by the host Bulgarian Armwrestling Federation and will be transmitted live on TV by the Bulgarian National Television and streamed on 8 armwrestling tables preliminaries.
The World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) is the international governing organization for the sport of ARMWRESTLING established in 1977, composed of more than 85 National Federation and six Continental Federations.
WAF is recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), WADA Code Compliant and Sport Accord Full Member approved applicant.”
