India Ready for Worlds 2026

India 2026 Preparations Underway

An official WAF inspection visit was carried out in India as part of preparations for the World Armwrestling & Para Armwrestling Championships 2026.

The most important meetings included discussions with Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, with the Paralympic Committee of India and the Ambassador of Bulgaria, focusing on support, organization, and the development of para armwrestling.

Special thanks to our kind hosts Preeti Jhangiani, President of PAFI and Vice President of AAF, and Parvin Dabas, for their support and coordination throughout the visit.

Following the inspection, WAF confirms that all technical requirements are met. India offers the necessary infrastructure, including major international airport hubs, online visa access, and all key elements required to host a successful global event. The strong organizational capacity and active social media presence are expected to make this championship a memorable event.

The World Armwrestling & Para Armwrestling Championships will take place October 26 – November 7, 2026, in India, with the detailed schedule to be announced soon.

The inspection visit was conducted by Assen Hadjitodorov, WAF President, and Mircea Simionescu-Simicel, WAF Secretary General.
