The World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) held a strategic and fruitful meeting in Bulgaria with the key organizers of the upcoming 2025 World Armwrestling Championships, set between 9th and 23rd of September, 2025, which will be the largest armwrestling event in the world this year.
The meeting brought together Mr. Nikolay Angelov, Mayor of Balchik Municipality, Mr. Assen Hadjitodorov, President of the World Armwrestling Federation, Mrs. Margita Todorova, Managing Director of Albena Resort, Mr. Stoyan Zlatev, Sports Director of Albena Resort, Mrs. Veronika Bonkova, Vice-President of the Bulgarian Armwrestling Federation, and Mrs. Lyudmila Mazhdrakova, Head of the WAF Para-Armwrestling Committee.
All parties confirmed that Albena Resort is fully prepared to host thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, and fans from across the globe. With its modern facilities, world-class hospitality, and beautiful Black Sea backdrop, Albena is ready to deliver a championship of historic proportions.
